RoyalMnandi-Supply Chain

Supply Chain is committed to contributing in the achievement of RoyalMnandi’s strategic objectives, through the consistent development of ethical long-term partnerships with a nucleus of world-class South African empowered and other vendors, consistently providing quality, cost and service unilaterally to all RoyalMnandi’s business units based on best practice.

The Supply Chain is simple and easily adaptable to advances in modern technology to ensure efficiency and effectiveness at all stages of the process. All RoyalMnandi Supply Chain role players are required to conduct business and themselves in a professional manner and with integrity. RoyalMnandi shall strive to achieve value for money through the optimum combination of cost and quality to meet our Client and Customer requirements.

RoyalMnandi complies with accreditation standards for all prospective suppliers and service providers and maintains a list of accredited suppliers per commodity for the purpose of obtaining formal written price quotations. The list is compiled per commodity and per type of service. The list of accredited suppliers is used to effectively promote BBBEE through the participation of black owned enterprises, black empowerment enterprises, black women-owned enterprises, black promotion of business owned by other HDIs and SMMEs.

All potential suppliers to RoyalMnandi must comply with the Accreditation Standards as required by our Standard Operating Procedures in order to be listed. The accreditation criteria include but are not limited to:

  • BBBEE certification
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Standards
  • The ability to deliver the required commodities at the agreed quality, the correct time and location and the right price.

The promulgation of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) in April 2011 has increased the level of assurance required from all participants in the food production chain.  In essence all parties need to have the appropriate quality and traceability systems in place to minimise risk to the end consumer.

We RoyalMnandi acknowledges that Food Safety, which can be defined as “assurance that food will not cause harm to the consumer when it is prepared and/or eaten according to its intended use”, cannot under any circumstances be compromised.  As a result, all RoyalMnandi listed suppliers will be subject to Supplier Quality Assurance Standards with a minimum of one review every 12 months.

Our ultimate objective is for RoyalMnandi Supply Chain to make a bottom line difference to Operations and to maximise the benefit for our Clients.
